We care for a maximum of 33 children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years.

Unique Partnership Between Parents and Staff

Working together

Windmill Day Nursery was founded in 1980 as a unique partnership between parents and staff to provide a nurturing environment for babies and pre-school children. We believe that this partnership contributes to our high ratio of qualified caring staff and ensures that our ‘home from home’ ethos is maintained in all areas of the nursery.

A warm welcome

We are a not-for-profit organisation, a registered charity, making us unique in the local area.
We hope that our website will give you some idea of the warm welcome that awaits your child at Windmill Day Nursery. If you would like to arrange a visit*, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The best environment

We were rated as ‘Good’ in our last Ofsted inspection, but we do not just rely on Ofsted to ensure we give our children the best care possible. We have no owner and are run by parents and therefore we constantly ask if we are providing the best environment for all our children to grow, develop and have fun. Please take a look at our recommendations page for feedback from parents of children currently attending the nursery.

Please note that for the safety and security of the children in our care, visits should be by prior appointment only.
